Deodorizing & Disinfecting
Family Friendly Carpet Cleaning Products
Are Carpet Cleaning Solutions and Chemicals safe for kids and pets?
We can’t speak for other companies, but at Amsteam Carpet Cleaning, we only use products that we’ve carefully researched to ensure that your children and pets can continue crawling, building forts and eating their snacks off the carpet after we leave.
Will disinfecting my carpet eliminate Dust, Dust Mites and Bacteria?
Over 99%! Check out the awesome, hospital grade, all natural botanical disinfectant we use – Benefect!
We have two options to treat your carpet for odours, and we’ll recommend one depending on the source of the odour.
For odours caused by food (maybe you cook with a lot of garlic?) and other malodours caused by pretty much anything except for urine, bacteria and mould, we have an Ocean Breeze scented deodorizer that will take care of that. Great for Mattresses, Upholstery and Carpets!
For odours caused by urine, bacteria, fungus or mould, we use the BEST, natural product on the market that eliminates over 99% of these odour causing germs, while being safe for you and your family. This product is called Benefect and you can learn more about it below!
If you have pets whom have the odd accident, Benefect will usually take care of that. However, if your animal tends to enjoy going on the carpet more often than not, we recommend taking a more aggressive approach. Phone AmSteam today – our customer service agents will discuss Pet Odour Control options with you!
Benefect - Botanical Disinfectants & Cleaners
Benefect kills over 99.99% of germs using only food-grade plant extracts.
How can a disinfectant that is less toxic than vinegar, still kill germs?
Good question. Benefect surpasses the government’s germ killing requirements for hospital disinfectants. The ingredients are categorized as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe). Benefects’s botanical active ingredient is identified by the EPA as having no known adverse effects to human health or the environment. Benefect is classified under the EPA’s lowest toxicity rating allowed by law for all routes of exposure which include: inhalation, ingestion, skin irritation, skin sensitivity and eye irritation.
Lot’s of cleaning products say “Natural” but snake venom and arsenic are natural, how do I know Benefect isn’t actually hazardous?
The EPA’s directive is to maintain and protect public health. If Benefect Disinfectant is a potential public health threat, then they would require the product label to list any potential hazards. The EPA has approved the Benefect product labels with no signal words or precautionary statements.
